Our Policy

RESERVATION POLICY

The quiet and intimate atmosphere at Arrebol is in part due to our deliberate decision to remain small. This feature, however, makes scheduling and booking a vital process. When making a reservation you are committing to occupy the Retreat for the reserved dates, just as we are making a commitment to have the retreat available exclusively for you. No-shows, late arrivals and schedule changes can have a big impact on our ability to provide the exceptional level of services we strive for.

We ask, therefore, that you agree with the terms and conditions of our reservation policy:

– Deposits are prepayments.

– Late arrivals and early departures are responsible for the full time reserved.  No adjustments can be made for unused portion of your reservation days.

– We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to offset your risk of travel changes or unforeseen issues.

– Deposits are non-refundable and we do not give refunds in case of changed travel plans, late arrival or early departure.

– You are here at your own risk. Arrebol is not responsible for any injuries.  We recommend that each guest check with their medical insurance provider about coverage while traveling or to purchase a policy for your trip.

– Arrebol is not responsible for any damage to or loss of your belongings.

By sending us your deposit, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the reservation policy of Arrebol.

PAYMENTS

You will receive a confirmation letter and deposit amount and instructions upon making your reservation.  You will have one week to pay your deposit amount. If we have not received your deposit within a week, we have the right to cancel your reservation. Should you encounter any difficulties making the deposit, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to accept credit cards at Arrebol at this time, but you can use your credit card for payments of your deposit through PayPal.  You are responsible for the full amount of the invoice you receive from Arrebol.  Arrebol is not responsible for any fees, etc. charged by Paypal, banks, or others in conjunction with your payments.

Please use the payment information provided in the confirmation email to make all payments.

The remaining amount is due within 30 days of arrival.  If you prefer to pay the balance in cash on arrival, special arrangements can be made.  (Note: the closest ATM is in San Juan Del Sur). All extra expenses (drinks, board rentals, etc) can be paid at the end of your stay. Please note, we only accept cash payments in USD or Cordobas. Please ensure your Dollar bills are in good condition, as any notes with tears, ink stains, etc. are deemed unacceptable in Nicaragua.

REFUNDS

Generally, no refunds will be allowed.  Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Arrebol.  Under extenuating circumstances, partial refunds or credit toward a future stay at Arrebol MAY be issued.  Again, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to offset any risk of travel plan changes.  All communication regarding cancellations or changes must be in writing.

OTHER

By staying at Arrebol you agree to have your image used on the website, social media, or in other promotional material.  Any request to be excluded from this policy must be made ahead of your stay with us.

We require that all guest provide passport information prior to arrival.

We request all special dietary, medical, and disability information be provided for each guest prior to arrival.  We will accommodate these as best as we can.

Arrebol reserves the right to make incidental changes to meals, schedules, and activities.  

Guests are responsible for any damages or losses of Arrebol property in their care or possession.  (i.e. towels, surfboards, etc.)

Security and peaceful enjoyment are high priorities here at Arrebol.  Each guest agrees to abide by the rules here at Arrebol and the farm. Arrebol reserves the right to cancel the remaining stay of any guest or group that does not abide by these rules. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.   A copy of the rules is available for you to review upon request.

Each guest is responsible for their own insurance and ensuring that their passports or required visa complies with the current travel rules for Nicaragua and/ or Costa Rica depending on your arrival/departure airports.

If airport transfers are included as part of your retreat package, please be advised that any changes due to late flight arrivals and cancellations may incur additional charges.
